Slide Out Resource - Shear Bolts Breaking
Cedar Creek Trailers Years 2004 to 2008
Slide out Shear Bolts breaking.
The problem with the slide is probably a shear bolt that has broken on the drive for the slide if every
thing checks out. Look under the slide where the gear is that drives the slide out. The drive has a
square tube that has the shear bolts in it, one on each end. The sq. tube connects both sides so they
go out evenly. The drive end is a round shaft in the end of the sq. tube. These bolts are a grade 8
hardened bolt and must be replaced with the same grade. Check the grade to be sure I'm correct.
Good luck with the fix.
